Queenie

Her Royal Highness the Queen (aka Queenie), appeared in her first ‘televised’ speech at 3pm (GMT) on Christmas day last year and appointed herself Queen of all Grecondom.

Her speech was very much an admonishment and in it she highlighted the “infidelity, insobriety, immorality, thieving and materialism” reported from across the length and breadth of her queendom.  She warned her unruly subjects that to continue on such a path would be sure to bring down a plague of moths upon the land and implored them to mend their ways.  [Well I wonder how that went..!]

Queenie also pledged to keep a tighter reign on her people and announced that she would start by making a royal visit to Grecondale on the 1st of January 2016, to speak in person to her people.

The royal visit duly took place and the residents of Grecondale came out in force to cheer Her Majesty on as her cavalcade processed through the village.

Later in the day came the royal walk-about and the crowds roared and waved their flags enthusiastically as Queenie walked amongst her Grecondale subjects for the first time.

Until the dramatic moment when a stranger broke from the crowd.

Realising that the stranger was about to draw a gun from his inside pocket, brave Rabbie leap into action…

..and tackled the would-be assassin to the ground.

Sadly, Rabbie, as we saw in an earlier post, took a bullet in the struggle but thanks to the swift actions of PC Bob Bobby and nurse Nancy Harm, the failed assassin was arrested and Rabbie’s life was saved.  Queenie, however, was very shaken and has not been seen out and about amongst her subjects since, preferring to spend her time at Balimmoral, her country estate in Scotland or…

…exercising her pigeons in the grounds of Greckingham Palace.

It is anticipated that Her Majesty will make another speech at 3pm (GMT) this Christmas Day – though where she will be broadcasting from has yet to be confirmed.  Watch this space…!
